    Automatic Transmission

    Bought 2000 nissan sentra in june 2003. Transmission failed in august 2003. Dealer replaced with re-built transmission. This one failed in january 2004. Second dealer refused to replace this one. Said there were signs of abuse. This was not true, called nissan customer servic, no help there. No help anywhere. *ak

    When driving this automatic car in the city (at 20 - 40 mph), it shifts out of gear into neutral. Acceleration is lost. Reengagement of the transmission is accomplished by manually shifting the car into second gear.
